Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek – The Ultimate Comfort Expedition

The Everest Base Camp Luxury trek is a premium 14-day itinerary designed for trekkers who seek the iconic Himalayan journey without compromising on comfort, safety, and service quality. For most travel enthusiasts, reaching the EBC (5,364 m) is a dream, but it can be pretty challenging for some. This is why we have reimagined the classic itinerary with lavish facilities, added amenities, and personalized care.

You will traverse across the scenic mountainous landscape and follow the iconic route while enjoying a comfortable stay at premium hotels and lodges. Unlike the standard EBC Trek Packages, we have included superior accommodation like Hotel Barahi or similar category in Kathmandu, and luxury chain lodges like Yeti Mountain Home.

These lavish accommodations offer spacious lounges, warm bedrooms, attached bathrooms, and hygienic dining halls. The rooms are also available on a single room supplement basis to provide our travelers with the privacy and comfort needed for a seamless journey. During your stay, you can enjoy hot water showers, wi-fi, charging, beverages, and sizzling drinking water free of additional cost.

Furthermore, the exquisite menu in these deluxe accommodations offers you gourmet options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, we can also arrange a planned menu for travelers with dietary restrictions such as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. This is to ensure you receive the needed nutrients, proteins, and carbohydrates essential to fuel your body for the trek.

Our extravagance expedition takes you deep into the heart of the Khumbu/Everest region, the home of the legendary Sherpa people. Along the way, travelers will come across several significant landmarks, including the Tengboche monasteries and the statue of Lord Buddha, which is covered in prayer flags, in the Everest Base Camp.

Similarly, the journey takes you to the vantage of Kala Patthar from where you will have stunning views of Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Nuptse (7864 m), Mt. Amadablam (6,812 m), and Mt. Thamserku (6,623 m). These experiences will become memorable parts of the trek, which you will cherish for the rest of your life.

Our Luxury Everest base camp trek Package is available throughout the year and is suitable for beginners and participants of any age group. We can fulfill your specific needs and offer a customized itinerary if you are traveling in a private group, solo, or with friends, ensuring an enhanced trek experience. So, are you ready to begin your Everest Base Camp adventure? Reserve your spot now and experience a thrilling Himalayan journey with comfort and style.

Trip Briefing: Before the start of the trek, an online briefing will be held to answer any queries you might have. During the session, we will discuss the travel plans and explain to the trek participant what to expect on the journey.

Lukla Flight Information: We want to inform all our valued travelers that during peak season (March, April, May, October, and November), flights to Lukla leave from Ramechhap (Manthali) instead of Kathmandu. In such circumstances, you will leave Kathmandu at 1:00 AM for a five-hour drive to Manthali, Ramechhap, to catch a flight to Lukla.

Note: Domestic flights can be delayed due to unpredictable weather conditions, so we recommend adding at least two to three extra days to your trip.

FAQs

Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek - 14 Days frequently asked questions

General Info

You will require a passport valid for 6 months from entry, a copy of travel insurance and flight tickets, and two passport-sized photos.

After you make the deposit, you will need to provide details like your arrival and departure date. Our staff members will then brief you with additional information related to the trek.

We advise booking your arrival and departure flights in advance for smooth travel. It is also recommended that you add a day or two additional days during your intended stay in case of flight cancellations or delays. Please be aware that we will not be responsible for any inconvenience related to international flights.

There are no hidden costs or fees if you travel solo. However, you will be charged accordingly if you don't want to join a group and would rather book a private trip.

The Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek Cost can range from USD 2225 to USD 3395, depending on the group size, itinerary, package, and service included.

Guide, Porter, and Trek Permits

Yes, hiring a guide is an integral part of a successful trek, even if you have previous trek experience. A guide's expertise will help create alternative plans and arrangements for unexpected occurrences.

Our guide and staff speak English; their speaking skills are based on field experiences rather than formal education. Even though they are not as fluent as native English speakers, they will be able to communicate effectively.

Hiring a porter(helper) is beneficial as they will be responsible for your luggage. This will allow you to hike freely without physically straining yourself. A porter(helper) will carry a maximum weight limit of 22 kg for every two travelers. If the weight limit exceeds, you will be charged accordingly.

Tipping is an act of expressing gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the guide and porter(helper). We suggest tipping based on the number of participants in a group and consider allocating at least 10% of the tip for every traveler.

You will need a Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit (NPR 3300), TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) (NPR 2000), and a Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit, which costs NPR 3,000 per head for the trek. We will arrange these documents on your behalf.

Weather and Temperature

The best time to trek to the Everest region is during Spring (beginning of March until mid-May) and Autumn (September to November).

Due to the fluctuating weather in the Everest region, it is challenging to forecast climatic conditions. Regardless, expect an average temperature of 25°C (77°F) during the day and – 20°C (-4°F) at night. Depending on the season you travel, you might experience slight rainfall, snow, and fog.

Spring (March to May)is the peak trek season in Nepal. During this time of the year, the sky is clear, and the crisp atmosphere provides stunning mountain Vistas. The landscape is covered with beautiful rhododendrons and wildflowers, adding to the region's overall aesthetic. Trails are dry and free of snow, making the hike a pleasurable experience.

Autumn (September to November)is also an optimal time of the year to begin the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek. The temperature is pleasant, and the weather is clear most days, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. This season is also best for nature enthusiasts who want to experience the natural plants and wildlife of the Everest region.

Trekking in the Everest region is not recommended in Winter (December, January, February) and Monsoon (June, July, September). There is a high chance of rainfall and snow during these months, which could lead to road blockage and slippery terrains. Although experienced trekkers might succeed in trekking to the Everest Base Camp with proper gear and preparation, we do not encourage the idea to novice participants.

Electricity and Wi-Fi

You can buy local SIM cards from NTC and NCELL network providers at the airport or from local vendors. After purchasing the SIM card, we advise you to recharge it with enough money to buy a data and voice package to last the duration of the trek.

Yes, travelers can charge their electronic gadgets at an additional cost. The charge varies from approximately USD 1 to 5 per charge, depending on the location of the accommodation.

You can buy a 6 GB internet package from the Everest Link network for NPR 600-800(USD 5-7), which can be used at one destination. On the other hand, you can purchase a 10GB package for NPR 2500 (USD 21), which can be used in the regions that have access to the Everest Link. Alternatively, travelers can have internet access through Wi-Fi at the teahouse for USD 1 to 5 per night.

The hotels at Kathmandu and some tea houses on the route provide laundry services for an extra charge. However, the service is not guaranteed; the higher you ascend, the more you will have to wash your clothes yourself.

We advise travelers to begin physical training 3 to 6 months before the start of the trek. Participants must involve themselves in an exercise regimen, including brisk walking, jogging, swimming, stretches, and weight-lifting exercises. These workouts primarily focus on enhancing stamina, building core muscles, and developing mobility and flexibility. Refer to our blog on preparing for the EBC trek for more information.

Payments and Extra Costs

There are several ATM booths in Kathmandu, Lukla, and Namche, where you can utilize your card to withdraw cash with a minimum charge. You can also exchange foreign currencies at the latest exchange rate in Thamel, Kathmandu.

Accommodation

In Kathmandu, you will be allocated to five-star hotels like Hotel Barahi or similar, or similar-class accommodations. On the route, travelers will stay at well-furnished and facilitated teahouses and lodges. These establishments feature warm bedrooms with attached bathrooms and modern amenities for a convenient stay.

Yes, we can arrange private rooms in Kathmandu and on the trek without additional cost. But please inform us regarding your preference so we can make the room reservation quickly.

Travelers will have access to hot showers throughout the trek. However, remember that the service might not be available in higher elevation areas, as the tea houses are powered by solar energy.

Trekkers must pay an extra supplemental charge if they have to stay an additional night due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather events, health conditions, or flight cancellations.

Most teahouses and lodges along the trail feature Western-style toilets. You can also use the toilet facilities at places where you enjoy our lunch break during the Everest Base Camp Comfort.

Some popular food choices include dal bhat tarkari (rice, lentils, veggies, and meat), chapati, noodles, thukpa, pasta, oatmeal, and pastries. As a vegetarian trekker, you will have several options from the menu at the tea houses during the Everest Base Camp Comfort trek.

Please notify us in advance regarding your dietary requirements so we can make the arrangements to suit your preference. This will help us ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience without the fear of food-related issues like allergies.

We provide boiled drinking water and purification tablets to treat water. To reduce negative environmental impacts, it is advised to carry reusable water bottles.
