I booked a trekking tour with Outfitter Nepal to trek to Everest base camp. It included a day tour of Katmandu as well. This is where I met Birodh Burlakoti. He was one of the funniest and most experienced guide I think I've ever had. Great at explaining in detail and answering any questions I had. I then did the trek to Everest base camp where I was met by Indra khadka (my trekking guide). Right off the bat I was greeted so kindly by him. He taught me all about the wildlife, the mountain ranges and the Sherpa region. He also has years of experience trekking in this region as well as the Annapurna trek. I highly recommend booking a tour with Outfitter Nepal. One of the best things I've ever done in my life, and with their guidance it made it one of the best highlights of my life. <!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--> <!--[endif]-->

I have done a trekking to the Everest Base Camp with Outfitter Nepal on May 2013. I really recommend this company. Everything was OK, the guide, the hotels and the support during all the trek. They exceeded the normal attention to the clients. When I needed a spare battery for my camera, the managers promptly found one on the Kathmandu market. They gave me a personal attention that was really amazing!! If you are going to Nepal, these guys are a very good choice.

I decided to go to Everest Base Camp Trek last May and chose Outfitter Nepal for this trek to guide me. There were four other people with me in my group. From very beginning to the end everything was arranged perfectly. Tea houses we stayed, breaks for snack and resting, the route they took us to the EBC trekking license to be able to trek on Everest area and many other small things were organized professionally. Group guide Amrit and two the assistants were incredibly helpful and nice people. Arjun the company manager was very friendly and helpful. It was an incredible experience to me to make it Everest Base Camp Trekking and I am glad I chose Outfitter Nepal to guide me.

I and 3 of my friends completed our 10 days trekking trip to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar with Outfitter Nepal. It was a wonderful and life changing experience made more so by the guys at Outfitter. Not only are they professional and well organized they really treated us like friends and family. We were well taken care of from the moment we landed in Kathmandu down to every little detail. They also made every effort to accommodate to all our special requests and demands. Their guides are well experienced and knowledgeable. We had a great time together. I would highly recommend their services should you find yourself in beautiful Nepal!

Although I didn't make it to Everest base camp due to altitude sickness it was still an amazing experience. The guides are knowledgeable and always willing to help and really love their country. When I got flown out one stayed behind to make sure everything went of smoothly. You'll also be able to say you landed at Lukla. I'd love to go back at some point!!
I did the Everest Base Camp trek with my brother, oldest son and 75 year old father . We were very well looked after by Outfitter and our guide, Bhim. Altitude sickness got the better of me and I was airlifted from Dingboche and this was arranged with minimum fuss by Bhim. Outfitter were brilliant regarding accommodation and other logistics on my return to Kathmandu. I would really recommend them.

I would like to thank the management of Outfitters Nepal for the meticulous organising and planning of our Everest Base Camp Trek. My wife and I had a tough, exceptional, safe, exhilarating time and... and. I could go on and on. To Hom and Hira, I thank you both for your service, kindness and going beyond the required to ensure that our trip was memorable. We had such a wonderful time, so I have decided to come to do the three-pass trek next year (2020) and Annapurna Circuit the next (2021). I have begun my planning and look forward to seeing you guys again. This time I am not coming in the summer time! Till we meet again, Sala Kahale (In isiZulu it means “Stay Well”).

After reading other reviews , I chose Outfitter Nepal for My Everest Base camp Trek. I was impressed by their quick and informative response to my emails and was reassured that they only wanted a 20% deposit in advance and could pay the remainder on my arrival in Kathmandu rather than paying the whole amount up front to a Company I wasn't familiar with and thus a possible risk. They were very professional and organised and everything ran smoothly and on time which allowed me to concentrate on the trek. I enjoyed the guided tour of Kathmandu historic sites(entrance fees not included ) prior to the trek commencing and also the extra spare day at the end in case of flight problems from Lukla ( the day after I left, all flights from Lukla were cancelled due to bad weather and some trekkers used a helicopter ( at great expense ) to get to Kathmandu. The hotel ( Hotel Moonlight ) in Kathmandu was excellent and in a very good location on the edge of Thamel. I was the only trekker but the Company honoured their promise to run the trek and I had a guide and a porter. The guide was very helpful and organised. He sorted out my meals in the teahouses and on occasions he asked to carry my rucksack, in addition to his own, up some of the steeper sections. I didn't ask him to do this but it was appreciated as I am 66 and did help me. He had a good knowledge of the terrain. His English was at times difficult to understand. He was aware of this and realises he has to improve this in order to communicate more effectively. This didn't detract from my enjoyment of the trek. Outfitter Nepal provided a free loan of a down jacket ( which I didn't use ), a down sleeping bag ( essential after the first few days ) and holdall for the porter. I made good use of the layer principle using fleeces/ merino wool etc which were warm enough. I had some lightweight leather boots but also used waterproof , fabric trekking shoes as most of the trek was stony, occasionally boulder and often sandy ( wear a buff ) . Many of the porters just used trainers! I started with shorts, changing later to trekking trousers and insulated trousers. I used a water bladder with chlorine dioxide tablets ( no aftertaste! ) and used 2/3 litres/ day. A head torch proved very useful in the teahouses and remember to take some toilet roll with you. I was pleased to have chosen Outfitter Nepal for this trek and I can recommend them.

Would definitely recommend Outfitters and the Everest Base Camp Trek. Five of us went in April 2013. The organization before and during the trip by Outfitter was excellent. Booking was easy and Arjun answered all the questions we had before arrival. On the trek we had a great team of porters and an experienced guide, who provided us with a lot of laughs all the way up and down, (and importantly ensured all our luggage made it on the same flight to Lukla (another group had to wait for their luggage to arrive)). The trek itself was hard, but felt we were in good hands throughout and when we did need something Outfitters were able to find it (within reason, e.g. extra blankets, paracetomol, and two birthday cakes!). I was too ill to make it to Base Camp with the rest of the party, but our guide, Raz offered to take me after. I am massively grateful that they were so accommodating after I had been unable to continue with everyone else. The price of this trip was excellent value for money, and we wanted to use a local Nepalese company. I would definitely recommend using this one. Massive thanks to the whole Outfitter team for a great trip. Am already saving for Annapurna.

Before I booked my trip with Outfitter Nepal, I spent many weeks researching the best companies in Nepal/UK. Each time I sent an email to Outfitter Nepal, I received a response within 24 hours, they were extremely helpful and very informative. I booked my Everest Base Camp Trek and it turned out to be one of the best adventures I have experienced. From pick up to drop off, ON were top professionals, the hotel they booked us into was fab, right in the centre of Thamel (Kathmandu). Our guide Harry had done over 60 treks to Kathmandu, so we always felt we were in safe hands. Harry was so much fun, joining in with everything we did, he really did have our best interests at heart. The porters were so hardworking, they couldn't help us enough, their strength was incredible. When we arrived in Kathmandu we met NG, he is one of the directors of ON, he treated us all to a tasty meal in a top restaurant. I can honestly say that I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again on my next adventure.

My brother and I did a 14 day Everest Base Camp trek with Outfitter Nepal in November/ December 2015 and we absolutely loved it! From first emailing the company, to meeting Raj (our main guide) at the airport, to the preliminary meetings and the actual trek, Outfitter Nepal personnel were very professional and friendly, helping make our trip as stress free and enjoyable as possible. The guides kept us motivated throughout the trip and were careful to make sure that we all walked at our own paces and were well hydrated throughout. The Outfitter Nepal crew were a breeze to work with and really did treat us like part of an extended family which we were very appreciative of. I highly recommend visiting Nepal and using the services of Outfitter Nepal, especially if you want to go trekking. In the aftermath of the earthquake and fuel crisis the country needs tourist dollars more than ever and where else could your money be better spent than with a local company that puts the profits back into the community!

Over all-brilliant! Most beautiful thing I've ever done.. I came down with altitude sickness, needed medical help asap. They were well prepared and the chopper me down to Kathmandu- 2days hospital. I it wasn't for the expert guides-2 Rajs' and Birodh, I would have not made it back.

Outfitter Nepal is an absolutely excellent trekking company. From the bottom of my heart I would recommend them to anyone. They have wonderful staff, a special thank you to Raj and Birodh, for all your support and guidance. We had a wonderful trek up to Everest Base Camp and the guides bent over backwards to assist us. We had want of nothing. Things went wrong for my friend when we got to Base Camp (she was later diagnosed with acute altitude sickness). Raj, Birodh and his porters moved heaven and earth to get us outside support and off the mountain. Neither my friend and I can thank these guys enough. They got our insurance processed, a helicopter up the mountain to take us back to Kathmandu, organized taxi's and Raj even visited us twice, once at the hospital and again, later at the hotel. If you want a trek with all levels of support, a fun attitude, a passion for culture, stunning views, local knowledge and experience, this is the company for you!

I cannot rate Outfitter Nepal highly enough. They offer very cheap tours and hikes compared to everyone else and they range from casual to challenging. We did the three passes with the Everest Base camp but heavy snow stopped us from doing two of them. Our guide Santosh was very flexible in making sure we still got to all the places we wanted to go and catered to our fitness levels. We had one member who suffered from altitude sickness and Outfitter were VERY understanding. They rearranged flights back to KTM and Sydney for them and also planned some other treks for them to do before heading back down. We also had to cancel our flight from Lukla due to weather and get a helicopter. They cancelled the tickets, refunded us and we were able to subsidise the cost of the chopper. Communication pre-arrival were also prompt and informative, they left us with no guess work. 5 out of 5 on all levels, thanks for the trek of a lifetime.

My friend and I booked the 12 days EBC trekking package from Outfitter Nepal via Groupon. This was our 2nd time to Nepal. We were very excited and thrilled of the altitude. Nevertheless, on the 7th day of our trek, the devastating Nepal Earthquake happened. We are really blessed and protected by God throughout the next 6 days, and I think one of the biggest reason is because we have good support of mountain guide Raj, assistant mountain guide Sunil and porters who had worked their very best to ensure our remaining trek as safe as possible. (1) Comfort On the days before the earthquake, the teahouse that we stayed are reasonably comfortable (we have make mental preparation that we are coming for trekking tour, not luxury tour). Some even with hot shower! On the days after the earthquake, the team really worked their best to get us safe, undamaged teahouse to stay. I was really blessed that none of the day I need to stay in a tent or dining hall. Many do not have places to stay, or have to sleep in dining hall / corridor. I'm thankful to our porters. Every day they RUN (imagine to run downhill with aftershocks and landslide happened, not to forget at least 20+kg loaded on their back!) to the next village in order to secure room booking for us. During that period of time, phone network was down and it's impossible to made phone booking with the teahouse. They are like superhero. (2) Safety We have 1 head guide and 1 assistance guide for a group of 11 people. Usually the assistance guide will lead the group with the head guide as the last. Every night our head guide Raj will provide a briefing on the next day trek details after dinner. He is full of experience on the trek and can spell out the details of the trek to the team. Personally I find the briefing is really useful for mental preparation. Yeap, I didn't read the itinerary. On the day the earthquake happened, when all network was down, we rely on word of mouth and were clueless on the severity of the earthquake. Our head guide made the decision of descend base on info on hand. The decision was made for safety reason. We had met another group that delay the decision of descend and the whole group end up have to stay put in dining hall at the last pit stop - Lukla. (3) Fun We have fun and exciting moments throughout the trek. Even though after the crisis happen, with worries on our mind, we still try to have some fun (in a subdue way). Our mountain guide and assistance guide, though worried of their friends and families in Kathmandu and their village, has been very supportive to us. It was a sad moment, and I think only by understanding and respect each other can the whole team pull it through the crisis. The Outfitter team works far more than what I had mentioned above. I'm safely back home without any severe health / injury issue. I always have access to food, clean water and lodging during the days of crisis. Despite I do not have money to pay for flight from Biratnaga to Kathmandu (during crisis there were no small aircraft being able to land in Kathmandu Airport ), the company had prepaid for my flight to get back to Kathmandu. They are sincere people. They did their best to keep us safe though they have bigger worries and urgency for their home and family. Words couldn't express how much I appreciate what the Outfitter team has done. The beauty of Nepal and Nepalese will always remain in my heart.

I have always hopes to see the wonders of Everest and the Himalaya. My first point of contact with Arjun was easy and helpful. Outfitter accommodated all my questions and replied promptly. Everest base camp trek was mixed with adventure and unplanned struggles to which our guide and porters assisted. We did it !!!!! and after time passes I realised the extreme efforts by the team to get us there and back safely. Secondly another trek to Annapurna BC was spectacular and and different scenery to EBC trek... again the guide and porters kept us safe and a priority when the mountains challenged us. I'm going back again and Outfitter will be my first choice. Thank you Outfitter Nepal for a lifetime of wonderful memories. Highly recommended!!!

I didn't have much time to research about Nepal and the journey I wanted to do and was recommended to check out Outfitter Nepal by a friend who previously went with them on a Trek. This was the best thing to do as everything and I literally mean everything was handled and arranged by them. (from airport pick up to drop off) I went on the Everest Base Camp trek and spent 4 days in Kathmandu. The full team was very friendly, helpful and flexible. I initially planned for the Everest Panorama View trek but upon arrival to Kathmandu decided to change it to Everest Base camp Trek and they were more than happy to accommodate for that. The full journey went smoothly. The lodges and guesthouses we stayed at had what we needed. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, he even took lead of taking photos of me during the journey. All in all, it was a great experience and I didn't have to worry of anything as the guys did an amazing job in having everything sorted out. Thanks for this experience and would easily recommend this team for anyone.

We booked the Everest Base Camp trekking package in end May and had a really experienced and wonderful guide, Hom, whom with his networks, got us room upgrades at some of the lodges as it was nearing the end of the trekking season and lodges are often less crowded. The trip was smooth and well coordinated. On the second day of our descent from, Smirk Airlines apparently cancelled our return flight from Lukla to Kathmandu but Outfitter Nepal quickly booked another flight to ensure that our return to Kathmandu will not be delayed.
Raj took me and my friend keith to Everest base camp trek. We weren't the fittest guys to go but Raj made sure that we made the trip. He was very informative about the region. His English is faultless and he also know other languages. We kept in touch while we were still in Nepal and he was more than happy to catch up and show us some local places. Without him we would never had made it.

My partner and I have just returned from a 16 day trek to Everest Base Camp and couldn't recommend Outfitter Nepal more highly. From the initial contact and prompt answering of email questions before we arrived (by Arjun), to being there for everything upon our arrival - airport collection, delivery to the hotel, constant information and advice prior to leaving for the trek etc. We had a wonderful guide and assistant guide in Raj and Dahna, who both looked after our group of 16's every need. They were genuinely concerned with any injuries/discomfort/sickness and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. The trek itself was considerably harder than we had anticipated, in fact the most challenging thing we have taken on, but we were in excellent hands. The accommodation was much more basic than we had expected too - and it was very cold, so be prepared! We were very fortunate to have the most awesome group to share the experience with. If you're looking for an adventure and up for a challenge - go for it!!! You won't find a better trekking company than Outfitter Nepal.

My girlfriend and i just recently completed the lukla - Everest base camp trek with the outfitter group and would recommend this company to anyone!, if you are looking for a trustworthy, safe, friendly ,professional company to deal with then you have come to the right place. The management will go to any length to look after you while under their care. We had x2 amazing guides and our porters were very friendly. My only disappointment was saying goodbye to our tour group and guides, trip of a life time. Thanks outfitter Nepal for the great memory's

My brother and I bought ourselves on a Scoopon deal for a Everest Base Camp trek with Outfitter Nepal and after numerous informative replies from Arjun (of Outfitter Nepal), we booked ourselves to join the Everest Base Camp trek\tour in early May 2014. Alongside 2 other fellow trekkers, we were introduced to our friendly guide Vim and the latter's intimate knowledge of the paths, conditions, etc made our experience an unforgettable one. All domestic flights, teahouse bookings, porters, etc were organized flawlessly. As it so happens, my brother and I were affected by AMS and had to stay in Namche for some time as a precaution. Our guide Vim was prompt to make sure that we would be looked after by the teahouse owners and organized for one porter to stay behind just in case we felt better and wanted to keep trekking. While Vim pushed on with the other 2 trekkers and another porter, he regularly kept in touch with the Namche teahouse owners to see how we were going + also advised us of the upcoming plans (ie, day that he would be back). So, while my brother and I didn't make it to EBC (through no fault from Outfitter Nepal), we felt safe in the knowledge that we were looked after at all times and were able to relax\recuperate. While on the tracks, Vim was excellent at gauging and adapting to our various levels of fitness and desire to take pictures of the fantastic surroundings. Overall, It was such a great experience that I know that my brother and one of the other trekkers are already planning another trek with Outfitter Nepal next year. As for me, I will definitely go with them again in a few years' time with my son (when he is older) and would gladly recommend Outfitter Nepal to my friends as an excellent trekking company to go with in Nepal.

I completed the Everest Base Camp trek with Outfitter Nepal for my 60th birthday. The EBC trek was a lifetime dream come true. Every day was filled with majestic vistas of snow-capped peaks and a pristine country-side and amazing and friendly people. Outfitter Nepal was terrific in every respect and earned my complete trust. I feel that I received full value for my money. This included getting me to Kathmandu on a helicopter when many trekkers were stranded due to weather-related flight delays in Lukla. Finally, I cannot say enough about my guide, Birodh. His unwavering dedication to my safety and well-being, as well as ensuring that my adventure was filled with fun and learning experiences - was beyond my expectations. My trek was richer by far, because of his good-natured efforts and experience in the Khumbu region. I now have a life-time treasure of fond memories thanks to Birodh and Outfitter Nepal.

The Everest base camp trek was a fantastic experience and Outfitter Nepal were very professional in their service and everyone was friendly, everything ran smoothly from the airport pickup to the day to day trekking. Our guides Raj Thapa and Deepak were awesome and fun to do the trip with, they were very helpful when I fell sick from altitude sickness and had to be airlifted and Raj Kumar from the Outfitter office was great in helping deal with my insurance company and the hospital once I was back in Kathmandu. Great company to go with and I'll be using them again when I visit Nepal again.

I had an AMAZING time on my Everest base Camp Trek, I am glad that I chose to go with Outfitter Nepal for my lifetime adventure to Everest base camp !!! Being a woman, I was skeptical to sign up for a solo trip first as I didn't have any friends to join me on this trip. But the moment I met one of the owners of Outfitter Nepal- Mr. NG, I was relieved and felt very satisfied when he suggested me to join a group of 6 ladies for the trip starting on Feb 26th, 2019. I not only enjoyed the trek to its fullest but ended up making lots of good friends. Thanks to our guide Sanjay, who was very experienced and very patient with the group of 7 ladies :) . He had a great sense of humor and was very helpful throughout the trip. He knew his stuff and did his best to make this trip a memorable one for us. I will be definitely coming back for the next trek (maybe ABC) in a few years :)

Had a great experience with Outfitter Nepal. Indra and Deepak were our guides and were friendly, and very helpful. The porters were worth their weight in gold. Our group of ten, were all very happy. A very professional company, and I loved the fact it is a locally run outfitter Nepal. Our tour was from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp trek, weather was the best. The tour was for 15 days....A life changing experience.

My daughter and I arrived in Kathmandu on 12 May 2014 and had booked to do the Everest Base Camp Trek with Outfitter Nepal. Our flight was delayed and we arrived close to midnight, and our guide for trip, Indra was there patiently waiting for us. The hotel was very comfortable and on the next day we met with Raj who briefed us on the trip. We were then taken on a fabulous tour of Kathmandu with a very knowledgeable guide. Most enjoyable! The following day we flew to Lukla and started or trek. The accommodation was far more luxurious that I had expected. There were flushing toilets, showers and a very comprehensive menu. After 8 days we reached Everest base Camp and then the following day, started our trek down. After we returned to Kathmandu we were invited for dinner with raj, who asked us for honest feedback. Such a nice gesture! I have absolutely no hesitation to recommend Outfitter Nepal for this trek. It was well organized, the guides were well trained and very informative. I also found it to be extremely reasonably priced.

My friend got altitude sickness while on Everest Base Camp Trek and we to be evacuated from the mountain. Raj and his team organized the rescue. When we got back to Kathmandu, Raj was at the hospital to see us, waited for the medics to do their job and dropped us at the hotel (which he had organized ahead of time). Thank you for all !

We have just returned from Everest Base camp Trek, our first ever trekking trip, and what an experience. While September is the end of the monsoon, the weather was perfect for the strenuous trek...not too hot. Our support team led by Hom were amazing. Thoroughly recommend Outfitters.

I came to Nepal as a low budget backpacker, completely unprepared and not having a lot of knowledge about the Trek. I spoke to a few other companies that I didn't have a great vibe with. Fortunately for me, I stumbled across Outfitter Nepal and they provided all the information I needed and more for the Everest Base camp Trek, recomended to every one to do the EBC trek wih Outfitter Nepal.

I booked this trip with a friend through scoopon during February. Seems a lot of Australians took advantage of this deal. I'll try and quickly sum up the tour in pros and cons; I covered accommodation through my review of moonlight hotel who were the preferred place to stay by outfitter Nepal. Pros; - much cheaper than most tours under the same umbrella. This is the biggest pro with other competitors asking for 2500 AUD for the same tour. - experience through the tour provided the best chances for reaching base camp. - it's not so overly risk averse that you can do most things at your own pace and also have some real adventure. - with reduced numbers of tourists in the aftermath of the earthquake has made the track much user friendly with no hold ups in areas such as the suspension bridges, which also leaves more abilities in top areas for crowded free photos. This also gives the tourist more ability in negotiating prices when shopping.
I did a 16 day trek to Mount Everest base camp in mid winter. The company were very helpful pre trip while i was working out what to bring and answering questions i had. their web site was helpful also. the trek actually took 14 days as it was superb weather. cold but clear blue skies. the extra days were spent in Kathmandu. the trip started with an information eve and an informative day trip around Kathmandu's important sites. Once we got to the mountains and started walking we were well looked after and even the slowest people were not hassled to be quicker but had a guide or porter stay with them. we stopped at clean lodges to eat and sleep. doonas were provided at higher altitude lodges. company provided a down sleeping bag and down jacket. wear layers as the walking soon warms u up even in winter and layers can be removed. There were still a lot of other trekkers but there were still quiet times with only our group around. (i could imagine how crowded it would be in peak season) the guides and porters had some English and tried to answer all questions. the guides could clearly tell us what to expect each day. (lots of hard walking up and down steep slopes with beautiful views) they were caring of our health and often carried our day packs as well to make walking easier for trekkers. they were able to fly a sick trekker out and also helped him to hire a horse when he had trouble walking. i enjoyed trekking with this company.

We have just completed the Everest Base Camp trek wiht outfitter Nepal and We could not rate Outfitters more highly. From the initial booking with Arjun, through to the trek with Raj and Dahna, they were just amazing. We ended up getting sick on the mountain and Raj organized everything to get us to safety. The staff were friendly, supportive and their knowledge of Everest was incredible. We will be using Outfitters next time we go to Nepal. THANKS OUTFITTERS NEPAL :)

I initially planned for the Everest Panorama View trek but upon arrival to Kathmandu decided to change it to EBC and they were more than happy to accommodate for that.

From our first enquiry to our goodbye dinner Outfitter Nepal met all our needs. Communication with Arjun was always a pleasure and he responded within 24 hours to all our questions and concerns. We were met at the airport in Kathmandu and until the day we were delivered again for our return trip we were taken care of. Our EBC trek, led by Raj, was a pleasure. All members of our team made it up to Base Camp thanks to encouragement from Raj and we have many pictures and memories. Along the trek Raj was there for us first thing in the morning until we turned in at night and made sure we had everything we needed. Our porters (we hired two extra) were at the tea houses every evening to greet us and at times even came out to meet us on the trail! It was our pleasure to interact with Outfitter Nepal’s professional team. As well as EBC we spent a couple of weeks touring the rest of the country with our personal driver and guide and again all accommodations were first rate and tours were well organized. They will certainly be our choice for any future activities. Thank you so much for a month of wonders.

The tour company has definitely met all my expectations ! Great effort from the tour guides, trek guide(Raj & Assistant Dhana) and porters. They ensured all our needs were met. The company also organized and sponsored dinner with free flow drinks (all night long!) the day before our flights for our group of 23 people. Everest base camp trek is physically and mentally challenging. But its all worth the effort! Breathtaking sceneries and majestic mountains! The Nepalese people are just amazing! They have touched all our hearts with their kind and humble gestures!
Hiking with Outfitter Nepal was a great experience. I had a very limited amount of time away from work and my timeline was tight so booking with this local guide company worked out very well. We flew into Katmandu late in the day and were picked up and driven to our hotel by our guides. This ran very smoothly and we were appreciative of the lift after the long flight. They assisted in checking us into the hotel, which was very nice, and accompanied us to the trekking company headquarters to pick up some last minute gear and our bag. The next morning we set off for Lukla and again the experience of the guides in getting us to the airport and setup of our flights to Lukla were top rate. The plane ride is not for the feint of heart but the views were great. The hike itself is quite diverse. At the lower elevations, there are beautiful views including foliage and animal life. At the higher elevations, it is almost like you are on another planet as the scenery is very rocky and sparse. The views are majestic. The lodgings along the way were quite comfortable and we met some good friends and had an amazing time playing cards with all sorts or people. We even taught our guides hearts and they became better than all of us by the end of the trek. The trek is somewhat physically tough but the real toils come from the altitude and the cold. We were very appreciative of the guides and porters who took their time making sure we were comfortable and safe as well as educating us on the history, geography, and culture of the area. Overall it was a great trek and the hospitality and knowledge of the guides and porters made all the difference. I highly recommend this local trekking company and I wish them all the best going forward.

My Family and Friends had an fantastic 13 day trek to/from Lukla to Everest Base camp from 6/3-18/3. We all totally agree that the courtesy, service, attention to detail and professionalism would have been extremely hard to better. We have all experienced trekking companies before in Kathmandu at various times over the years and it is quite evident that Outfitters Nepal are quite simply THE BEST. From our initial trek enquiries 12 months previously to our pretrek briefing to our post trek farewell dinner we all had a sense of calm and professionalism. All the staff involved with our Trek from Arjun and Raj at head office , Indra our guide , and our 3 Porters were all honest, fun and a pleasure to deal with. We were briefed in detail pre trek, collected on time from our hotel and transported to/from our KTM - LUKLA flight and supported throughout our 13 days. Everything was in place with no issues occurring regarding our accommodation in trekking tea huts. Indra our guide ensured our wellbeing on Trek asking us daily healthcare questions. If you are considering an early season trek, ie March , be ready for extremely cold nights in the Accommodation, hot water bottles will definitely assist in keeping you warm in the sleeping bags (provided). The meals on Trek were all varied and a choice from the menus provided. ( we all stuck to vegetable based meals and found that safer) . On Trek we heard many stories from other trekkers about members of their groups needing evacuation / airlift due to altitude sickness.....no such issues with our group which we believe was in a large part due to Outfitters care and attention. We all totally recommend using this company for your trekking support in Nepal BIG THANKS TO RAJ, ARJUN, INDRA & OUR 3 PORTERS (ESPECIALLY BIR) FOR THEIR FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT.

Outfitter Nepal.... Raj, Sudip, Birodh, Pasang and Buddha.... these people made our trip to Everest Base Camp Trek and Chitwan, and just our time in Kathmandu, amazing. We are already planning another trip back! Booking a trip to Nepal from the States using a foreign travel agent was a little nerve-wracking... will everything actually go through like we planned ? Will it be safe and organized? Raj put our fears at ease and made our booking of Everest Base Camp Trekking and Chitwan perfect. There is literally nothing we would have changed.... except we wish we could have stayed longer!! The Kathmandu tour was fascinating. Birodh is a fountain of information! Our guide to EBC, Sudip, and our two porters, Buddha and Pasang.... they made our trip so memorable, fun and pleasant. We highly recommend Outfitter Nepal.... you will not be disappointed!!

My daughter and I used Outfitter Nepal for the Everest Base Camp trek in May 2014 and were so impressed, we returned ib December 2017 with the whole family and some friends to do it again. The level of knowledge and support was unsurpassed. This time my daughter had to ve evacuated by helicopter. Outfitter Nepal arranged the rescue and approval in super fast time. The guide, Amrit, and porters were so well informed about evert aspect of our trip and made the experience beyond fantastic. We also had a Kathmandu tour before we left for the Himalayas, and the guide we had that day, Birath, was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and friendly. In all aspects relating to this trek, and there are many, I would recommend Outfitter Nepal to anyone considering a trip like this.

Outfitter Nepal has been the greatest trekking company, from friendly service and amazing information. My family and friends decided to trek to Everest base camp from the 21/12/2017 - 01/01/2018 Everyone we have met on the Outfitter Nepal team has been so helpful and friendly from Birod out city tour guide to Amrit our Everest base camp guide. Never had any bad experiences and always one step ahead of us helping out with any queries or issues on the mountain. I would recommend Outfitter Nepal to anyone thinking of traveling to Nepal.

Thank you very much for organizing the trekking. Honestly, It's my first time in Nepal and travel alone so, I was a little bit worry. Thank you for answering email for a while and quick response. Outfitter Nepal made my first to the last days to be my best experience. Good team work. I feel I am in the professional trekking company. I can be base camp because your arrangement and helpful guide. I would like to say highly recommend this professional team (Outfitter Nepal). I went Everest base camp trekking during the off season (beginning December) the weather was cold but I got the awesome view.

As part of a small (3 tourists) group I did the 12-days Everest Base Camp trek with Outfitter Nepal in mid-November 2017. Our guide was Ram. The trip was very well organized. The Outfitter representatives answered all my emails quickly (within 12 hours typically) and thoroughly covered my questions. Ram is an excellent guide, very patient, clear in his instructions and with solid English communication skills. All three of us made it to the Base Camp and to the top of Kala Patthar without any major sufferings. We were definitely fortunate, each day I was seeing a couple of helicopter flights taking people down the mountain. The weather in mid-November was perfect, clouds were extremely rare and the views crystal clear. No delays in or out of Lukla either. It was very cold (even at 3000 meters the outside night temperatures were close to freezing.). Gorashek (5200 meters) was the only place were the water froze in a bottle inside the room at night time. Bring a light thermos and buy boiled water to nurse your throat at night time. Keep the thermos inside the sleeping bag. The lodges we stayed in were always very clean (including the toilets). Up to Namche Bazaar there are many lodging options, so it's probably possible to stay in more upscale ones but beyond that they are more or less the same. The food was included in the trip price. It was tasty but clearly insufficient for a bigger guy (185 pounds) in conditions of sustained effort at high altitude. Same experience for a friend of mine doing Annapurna circuit a few years ago. There is plenty of rice and potatoes and you can get some cheese and plenty of eggs (Ram advised us that above Namche Bazaar we should not eat meat). By the time we got to Lobuche I was almost starving (I was getting hungry 2 hours after any meal). After running through all my energy bars I started eating 12 eggs a day (4 at each meal). That proved almost enough. Another aspect of the trek is the cost structure (which doesn't have anything to do with the trekking company; it's all about how the lodge owners do business): lodging and the meals are not that expensive (even though they do get more expensive the higher you are). But the locals make good money out of selling any amenities which are considered standard in other circumstances. This is understandable once you see the sherpas carrying massive loads over tens of km at high altitudes. For example a roll of toilet paper is $3, a small Coca-Cola is $3. Charging your phone is $3 - $5. A liter of boiled water is $2 to $3.5. So you definitely need to budget at least $10 a day($15 above 4000 meters) for the little but necessary things. Getting a cold/sore throat: all lodges have a single heating room: the restaurant/kitchen/communal area. And many of the people there will be sick, exhausted, coughing etc. I held up well until Gorashek and managed to get a serious sore throat and running nose (no fever) just about when we were going down and it didn't matter so much anymore. Taking some medicine preemptively might be a good idea to address this unavoidable situation.

Nepal has been #1 on my bucket list since my parents told me they did the Everest Base Camp Trek (EBC) in November of 1983 and then I was born 9 months later. I suppose you can say Nepal has been a part of me, and my entire life I have had an indescribable desire to see it. I started planning our trip a year in advance to do the EBC, and did copious amounts of research on trekking and adventure companies. I initially was going to go with an American-based company, but I stumbled upon great reviews about Outfitter Nepal. I emailed Raj (the first of about a 1000!), and decided to develop a personalized, private trip through Outfitter Nepal. Preparing for a trip that is 12,000 miles away and not being totally sure of what to pack and how to prepare can be daunting. I must have emailed Raj hundreds of times, and he always responded promptly and with much patience for my dozens of questions. He eased any uncertainty I had about the trip and we were beyond excited to start our adventure. We arrived at the Kathmandu airport and were met by representatives of Outfitter Nepal. We dropped our luggage off at the Hotel Moonlight and then went to meet Raj. He is an incredibly genuine and honest man, and I am so glad that he and his company are who introduced us to the amazing country of Nepal. Our second day in Nepal, Birodh took us on a small group tour in an air-conditioned van around the temples and sights of Nepal. This is definitely not to be missed!! Birodh was a fountain of information and an excellent tour guide. Our guide, Sudip, and our porters, Pasang and Buddha, were top notch. Sudip was very knowledgeable about the mountains and Nepal. I had countless questions about Nepal, the culture, and the mountains, and Sudip answered them all. Our trek to EBC was priceless, and our first view of Everest while in Namche was unforgettable. We had one small hotel issue in Namche, and Sudip (and Raj) helped us fix it in no time. I had also talked to Raj about perhaps visiting Chitwan National Park. While we were trekking, Raj set up a fabulous trip to Chitwan, including airplane, hotel and tours. We stayed in the amazing Green Park Resort and did multiple jungle and river tours. If you are in Nepal for the EBC trek, add a few extra days and visit Chitwan! We saw wild one-horned rhinos, Asian Elephants, the 5 species of deer, 2 species of crocodiles and hundreds of birds. Definitely worth the time!!! We hope to return to Nepal and trek Mera Peak, as well as just spend more time in the phenomenal country of Nepal. The Nepalese people, I cannot say enough good things about. They go out of their way to help you and make you feel welcome and happy. In addition to the first-class customer service, the people of Outfitter Nepal are honest, and will do everything in their power to make your trip to Nepal a trip of a lifetime.

We booked our Everest Base Camp Trek with Outfitter Nepal. Our guide is a handsome young and fun guy and we were able to clicked throughout the hike. Every night we sat in the tea house and play card games. We taught him how to play monopoly, while he taught us Nepalese culture We are being taken very good care of throughout the trip. Towards the end my friend was caught with altitude sickness, and we were being forced to cut short our trip and evacuate through helicopter. Outfitter has helped us arranged the accommodation in Kathmandu. It is quite an enjoyable stay throughout. Thanks Outfitter Nepal!

What an amazing Everest base camp trek this was and one I will never, ever forget. The Outfitter Nepal team were brilliant and organized everything incredibly well. All lodges were booked prior to arriving at each village which was perfect after a long day trekking. The views were exceptional and the weather, very fortunately, was fabulous. Obviously Outfitter cannot control this but I do recommend going late March/early April. We also went just before the UK Easter holidays which meant the trail was much, much quieter - as we were descending on the 5th April, it was clearly much busier due to the influx of people from the UK/Europe. Our guide, Sudip, was brilliant. He played cards with us every evening, educated us during our trek and always ensured we were okay throughout the trip. He was simply superb and very funny too! We would also like to credit Subas for being a fabulous porter - I definitely recommend paying out for a porter as when reaching higher altitude, your bag can seem a heck of a lot heavier than when in Lukla!! Although Outfitter Nepal plan out an itinerary, they allow a lot of freedom and flexibility so that it suits you. We were quite quick walkers and were happy to push on to a village an hour or so further (when descending); Sudip and the Outfitter team allowed for this which made us feel in control of our trip. I know the same would be possible should you be struggling with altitude, injuries etc. and you wish to slow down a little. Of course, when ascending it is really important to try and stick to what Outfitter suggest as to minimize altitude sickness! Overall, we had the most amazing trip and are very grateful for the Outfitter team. I would definitely recommend the company though it would have been even better if a hot drink was included with lunch and dinner.

Had an experience of a lifetime in Nepal! The trek to Everest Base Camp was very well planned and managed by Outfitter Nepal. From the airport pick up, to the hotel for a detail briefing on what to expect, last minute tips on preparing for the cold and very helpful from day 1. Amrit, our trekking guide did a stellar job, guiding us around the mountain paths and ensured we reached our destinations as planned. The porters, Buddha and 'Captain Kid' was amazing as well, carrying our heavy bags with their endless smiles. Birodh, our city guide did a fantastic job showing us all the little secrets of Kathmandu and had such a strong indepth knowledge on everything related to Nepal. From history, culture, religion, government and the latest news just about on any topic you ask him. His English is outstanding and definitely the best city guide in Nepal. We even continued with some extra guiding the next day, experiencing some amazing local cuisine, hidden streets and local Nepali culture. Such an awesome experience! Thanks Raj and the Outfitter Nepal team for everything! See you hopefully soon again!

I did the Trek to Everest Base Camp in January 2016 with Outfitter Nepal. From the time that I started communicating via email with Raj to the time I left Nepal, he was very helpful and provided a first class service. My guide Sanjay was fantastic and he made sure I had the most wonderful experience on the 10 day trek to Base Camp. I highly recommend Nepal Outfitters.

A huge thanks from Miles and Brina Biggs to Outfitter Nepal Trekking. From start to finish, airport to hotel to Everest Base Camp Trekking and back, they were nothing but brilliant, professional, organized, friendly and completely knowledgeable. Our guide Omar was awesome and funny, Mr Dhan the Head porter/guide in training was so much fun and the porters were such a blessing. Raj the owner was magnificent in helping organizing the trip from both overseas and locally. I would seriously recommend them. They make you feel welcome, safe and help you have the experience of a lifetime. Namaste Outfitters Nepal Trekkers!

We booked the package for the Everest base camp trek with Outfitter Nepal. Right from the beginning of the email correspondence, they were very prompt in his replies, which made the booking really efficient. Our guide on the trek was very experienced and took care of the group very well. Changes in the original plan were also handled very well by the Outfitter Nepal team! We would definitely choose Outfitter Nepal again, and we are already planning our next trip to Nepal in April 2017.

We booked as a couple for the Everest Base Camp Trekking of a lifetime but met up with a larger group each evening. Our guide Suraj was exceptional throughout, as were the other guides Sanjay and Deepak who we got to know during the trip. They were experienced, professional and competent in dealing with any situation. The porters (Outfitter support the community and employ them rather than using yaks) display of stamina was incredible. The organization was also second to none, with the field staff ably backed up by NG and the team at HQ in Kathmandu and I would highly recommend Outfitter to anybody contemplating any trips or tours in Nepal - you will be well looked after. We are already planning a return trip next October.

Outfitter Nepal helped make my experience unforgettable!

Myself and 5 others did out Mt Everest Base Camp trek with outfitter Nepal plus a couple of day tours back in Kathmandu. They were very organized, friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend them to anyone thinking about traveling to Nepal for any activity. Our Sherpas and guides were excellent and had a wealth of knowledge to share with us. They knew many of the locals and provided us with great accommodation, food and experiences. Birodh was an amazing guide and made us feel more like his friends than just another group. Danus our assistant guide joined in with our card games and general mucking around on the trip and our sherpas amazed us with the fitness and ability to carry our heavy bags all day. Outfitter Nepal are easily worth 5/5 stars if it more.

A great adventure Trip to Everest base camp managed by a competent MD, NG- supported by wonderful and knowledgeable guides Suraj and Deepak, and top service from the head porter Jivantbhai and the other porters. An unforgettable & incredible experience- impossible to describe in words.

My trip with outfitter Nepal was perfect from start to finish. Before beginning I had dreamed of reaching Everest base camp. My journey couldn't have been better. I travelled to Nepal alone and met the group I was matched with which was 14 people, 2 exceptional guides Hom and Dhana. Little did I know that I would gain a whole new family through the trek. Outfitter Nepal made me and my friends feel at home from day one. Hom and Dhana went out of their way to make it a trek of a lifetime. I would highly recommend outfitter Nepal to everyone. They have treks to suit all levels of fitness and adventure levels. I cannot begin to thank you all enough for this trip. I hope to visit again soon and complete another epic trek. 5star for all aspects of this trip.

We did our Everest Base Camp trek in March 2016 it was amazing. Very well organized we do recommend Outfitter's to do your trek with. Our guide Rajesh was amazing with his knowledge and way he looked after us on the trek.

It's taken me a little while to write a review, Outfitter Nepal started well, although we had a slight hiccup at the airport in having to get ourselves on the plane and off to Lukla, but once on the EBC trek all was going pretty well. Raj and Sunil were both excellent, very supportive and good blokes. Our journey to Everest base camp ended at Dughla at lunchtime on the 25th when the earthquake struck. Although the we were at altitude, cold and a long way from home Raj, Sunil and our wonderful porters looked after us, kept us moving, safe and eventually got us to Lobouche for a very cold and scary night. They safely led us back to Luckla, finding safe accommodation and safe paths on the damaged track. At a time of a devastating national disaster the Outfitters team got us to places in between consistent tremors up to 7.6 ! It was sad, unbelievable, tragic and still immensely beautiful. The people of Nepal are the strongest and kindest. I sincerely thank Outfitters and the team on our trek who looked after us and cared for us when we were in extreme danger. To think of us when we know their families were in very sad situations was incredibly overwhelming. I will be back, I think we have about 8 kilometers to go to finish off from where we got to, my bucket list is not complete and I want to see Nepal and the magnificent Nepalese again, my best regards and sincere thanks to the Outfitters team. This trek was not what we expected but at a time when in the worst of situations the best in people come out, and to Raj, Sunil and the team, Namaste, your are the Best.

Outfitter Nepal are by far the best trek and tour group to use in Nepal for the Everest base camp trek. Every details and care is taken to ensure that the clients come as clients an leave as friends. with them you're safe and well taken care off. Mohan our trek guide was amazing. Definitely a highly recommended company to use.
Booked this in early 2015 via Groupon on open dates basis & completely forgot about it on account of work. Outfitter Nepal was so kind to follow up with a reminder. And good thing they did - otherwise I'd have regretted not doing this trek. Service doesn't stop there - You will be picked up from Tribhuvan Airport to your hotel, adequate briefings given on what to expect for the Everest base camp trek, & during the trek itself, adequate staff will be on hand to cover the lead group, as well as to sweep the rear. This is quality service with an emphasis on YOUR experience! And since we were back in Kathmandu for New Year's eve, we got to dine & party with the Outfitter Nepal guys. Great bunch!

I booked Everest base camp trek with a friend through Scoopon during February. - our guide Hom was extremely patient and friendly throughout some extraordinary circumstances with clients sometimes acting up outside what would be "normal" sensible requests. - the sleeping bag provided was extremely good, warm and clean. I wouldn't take one if your okay with using another sleeping bag Cons; - the current fuel crisis is causing difficulties in many areas including restaurants for example now stating " gas free" menus. - when arriving at the airport for the fly out to Lukla try and have your bags weighed individually on scales before checking in or have that done when actually checking in. 15 kilos combined hand luggage and checked in bags is the limit per person. Other fellow travellers might not be so rigorous when packing to the 15 kilo limit. We ended up around 20 kilos above the limit with only 7 in our party? So the costs was shared - my friend and I ensured we were below the limit excluding items that would have been nice during the walk. Recommend wearing a few sets of clothes on the plane - heavy jackets carry with you for the flight. Things to bring - just a short list. Diamox - above 2700 metres. Can't believe how many people got altitude sickness and waited until after the symptoms had struck them. Improve your chances - take them as prescribed. Aquatabs (water purification) will save you money. The last place Gorekshep is the only place where you must buy bottled water. They get their water from a muddy glacier puddle where all the livestock drink from. Take a water bladder as it's easier to sip as you walk along. A good wind breaker - imperative. Saved my bacon on the Pumori base camp hike. Minus 10 and then add the wind chill!!!!! Hiking boots aren't really that necessary when I was there. Hybrid shoes would have been far more comfortable. However I had no snow on my hike. An extra pair of lightweight comfortable shoes would have been beneficial for around the tea houses. Additional items; Ask for an additional blanket at tea houses before sleep. Buy a beanie along the trek if you like - I got a super warm one in Namche for around 300 rupees. Take a few batteries for your cameras if you can, as charging gets pretty expensive the further up the hill you go. All meat labelled yak is actually buffalo as yaks are far too valuable to just slaughter. You will find that eating meat becomes more risky to eat the further up the hill you go. This means the longer the meat has been sitting on someone's back the further up you go. Avoid when required

My husband and I are just back from an epic adventure to Everest Base Camp Trekking with Outfitter Nepal. After originally having to postpone the trip due to the earthquake, Arjun was so quick and professional in responding to our emails and rescheduling. They responded to every single email within hours. The tour itself was impeccably organized from start to finish. We were greeted at the airport and were made to feel special from the beginning to the end. BIG SHOUT OUT to Mohan our guide - what a guy - full of knowledge and interest and pride in his country - give him a pay rise Arjun! The EBC trek is difficult and many of us were tired and weary along the way, but Mohan kept our spirits high. I would recommend Nepal, the EBC and outfitter Nepal to anyone and everyone. Everything went so smoothly. Thank you for making this the trip of a lifetime. If you're thinking of booking - go for it!!!

I travelled with Outfitters for the Everest Base Camp trek (the first one since the Earthquake) at the end of August and I have to say they were so good! Originally our trek was due to leave after the first earthquake and after much panic on my side about re-scheduling my trek, Outfitters were quick to respond to my millions of emails and handled the whole situation with true profession. Our tour was re-scheduled within days. I was blown away. Our Everest Base camp trek guides Suraj and Dipak were great group leaders and their knowledge and experience of the trail felt second to none! They were very friendly and happily answered any questions or concerns I had in great detail. I felt very safe in their hands! My friend and I also had planned to visit other areas of Nepal for which Arjun at Outfitters organized for us at no extra hassle. He had a full week and a half of itinerary planned for us to visit Pohkara and Chitwan N.P which went to plan without a hitch. I have to say our experience of visiting Nepal wouldn't of been as incredible as it was, if it wasn't for Outfitters.. So thank you!

I booked with outfitters for an Everest Base Camp Trek. Brilliant from booking Arjun was totally helpful. Lots of help and email support. We got a comprehensive list of what to pack and weather reports. On arrival we were met at the airport and delivered to our hotel. The hotel was under reconstruction but the staff made every effort to make our stay good. Outfitters organized a city tour for us. Not to be missed. Amrit Man and Taj were our guide and porters on our trek. They were as helpful as could be and did everything, it make our Everest base camp trekking as memorable imaginable. It was a tough trek and not fir the feint hearted but what a result we made it to base Camp and back to complete a life changing event I would recommend Outfitters to all as a reputable and dependable company All the best to all at Outfitters from Ireland

My trip to Nepal was set for April 17-May 2, 2015. From the moment I had emailed Outfitter Nepal to schedule my trek a year ago and till the day I left for my flight they have been right there through it all. Email correspondence was fast and easy. Outfitter Nepal was very informative and helpful. Before we went on our trek we had a nice city tour and had briefings to discuss what would happen throughout the trek. Namaraj who goes by ANDY took care of everything in Kathmandu. Our trip was led by Raj (main guide) and Sumil (assistant guide). We had a great group and enjoyed ourselves during the trek. Both Raj and Sumil were very accommodating, entertaining, helpful, and fun. Unfortunately, halfway through my trek I became very sick. It was not from AMS, I had eaten something and was having intense abdominal pain that I had to be helicoptered back to Kathmandu. Raj and Andy both took care of my insurance company and figured things out for me to arrive safely in KTM. Upon arrival I did not expect anyone from Outfitter Nepal to come visit me at the hospital. Andy showed up to check on me and to see if I needed anything. He told me he would come the next day to pick me up and take care of things. I was very thankful that I had someone there to help as I was not feeling well at all. The only people that were helping me was my boyfriend and sister who were across the world from me and they could not do anything for me in Nepal. I was alone if Andy was not there for me. Andy took care of everything till the end. He took me to the hotel the next day, made all the arrangements for the airport and even got me some gatorade! Maybe the Gatorade sounds silly but honestly it was a life saver. I came home and was hospitalized and found that I had a parasite. I am finally recovering and much better. The night I left Kathmandu... 8 hours later is when the earthquake took place. I am not sure if my illness was a blessing or a curse but I was very lucky to have left the time I did. My friend who was still on the trek was a day away from Everest Base Camp when the earthquake had struck. Fortunately, the group was not affected and because of the care of Outfitter Nepal my best friend just made it home on Sunday safely. Even in this catastrophe Outfitter Nepal stood strong and stood by their customers and for that I truly respect them. They are all so genuine and I could not ask for more. I would recommend them over and over again. They truly care and are the best of the best! <!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--> <!--[endif]-->

I completed the Everest base camp trek, start date 24 Mar 15 with Outfitter. Prior to the trek I was dealing directly with Arjun via email who was prompt with his responses and extremely helpful. On arrival to the meeting point at hotel Moonlight (good hotel) the group was met by Raj who gave us a detailed brief on what to expect during the trek and again answered any questions the group had. When we arrived at Lukla airport the group was met by Birodh the guide and his support staff (assistant guides/porters). The whole transition was seamless. I was very impressed by the coordination. Birodh was outstanding as the lead guide. He was very motivating, knowledgeable and observant to the needs of the group. While he was jovial throughout the trek, he was able to make the tough decisions when required (evacuating people back to Lukla) and constantly adjust to the appropriate course of action to keep the trek moving forward. I would strongly recommend Outfitter for any trek you intend to do. I had an outstanding experience and would not hesitate to trek with them when I get the chance to do the Annapurna circuit. For the trek be aware: - Although it suggests you should be able to walk 4-6h. Most days were longer than this and there are some very steep slopes both up and down, coupled with the high altitude. You need to have at least a basic level of fitness, but this doesn’t mean age restrictions apply (except being too young). - Drink 4-5L water a day without fail (or whatever ensures urine is mostly clear each time). This will get you out of bed multiple times during the night but it is necessary. - People do get evacuated by helicopter more regularly than you’d think due to Acute Mountain Sickness symptoms. Don’t be afraid of this; just be aware as it is easily managed by managing yourself “Eat on time, drink on time and sleep on time”. The team/guides will discuss everything else in detail for you to be aware of. Listen to their advice.

The most amazing adventure was made possible by outfitter Nepal. The way they replied to our E-mails within 24 hours made our lives so much easier. None of the 5 of us had done anything like this before, and their advice made our lives so much easier. Once we reached Kathmandu there was a taxi waiting for us, straight to our hotel, our down jackets and bags arrived asap. Everything we needed to make our EBC adventure as good as possible was there for us. Our amazing guide Amrit (Legend) B was waiting at Lukla airport for us. His personality was infectious, he guided us to the most majestic views this planet has to offer. Our porters were also led by Dez, who was like an assistant guide all the way through our TREK. Arjun the man who replied to our E-mail questions from March 2014 onwards was great and fantastic to meet him. Raj also looked after us in a very courteous/professional manner while in Kathmandu. The 5 of us were lucky enough to conquer Everest Base Camp trek, a bucket list item for most people on this planet. We were even luckier that we dealt with Arjun, Raj, Amrit and Des, who were part of an amazing company called Outfitter Nepal, without them the majestic sites we were able to embrace would have been nothing but a dream. Thank you so much Outfitter Nepal for everything, from E-mails to down jackets to that smile first thing in the morning. Keep up the great work guys, and keep on making peoples dreams into a beautiful majestic reality:)

I did a 16 day trek to Mount Everest base camp trek in mid winter. The company were very helpful pre-trip while i was working out what to bring and answering questions i had. their web site was helpful also. the trek actually took 14 days as it was superb weather. cold but clear blue skies. the extra days were spent in Kathmandu. the trip started with an information eve and an informative day trip around Kathmandu's important sites.

We could not rate Outfitter Nepal more highly. From the initial booking with Arjun, through to the trek with Raj and Dahna, they were just amazing. We ended up getting sick on the mountain and Raj organized everything to get us to safety. The staff were friendly, supportive and their knowledge of Everest base camp was incredible. We will be using Outfitters next time we go to Nepal. THANKS OUTFITTERS NEPAL :)

Outfitter Nepal really looked after our group on our trek to Everest Base Camp. I had a million questions before we left and Arjun always answered on the same day via email, which really set my mind at ease. When I arrived, the transfers were well organized and everything ran smoothly for the hotel arrival and group meeting. Our guides Raj and Dana were amazing on the trek itself, taking care of our every need and ensuring that we made it in one piece to base camp, even when some of us were really struggling with the altitude. I couldn't recommend Outfi8tter Nepal more highly for a trip of this nature.

I booked my Everest base camp trip a good 10 months ahead of time with some friends and in the lead up I had many questions for the company. All my emails were answered promptly by Arjun in a personal and professional manner. I felt well prepared for the trip prior to departure thanks to this. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we were met by our amazing guide Birodh who took us to Hotel Moonlight, our clean and secure accommodation in town. Birodh showed us around Thamel and suggested the best places to eat and purchase gear. Pre tour information was done by the owner Raj who obviously has great pride in his business. Due to bad weather our plans had to change slightly but the Outfitter Nepal team handled it amazingly. They kept us well informed and got us up to Lukla via helicopter to start our trek on time. The trek itself is a one of a lifetime. Amazing views everywhere you look. Our two guides for the trek ( Birodh and Suraj) were Awesome! We had a larger group (16) of varying fitness levels and they did a superb job getting us all safely up to Everset base camp and down again. The added local information that they provided as well as special side trips to the Namche Monastery made the trip even more memorable. Other trekking groups cannot give you this. Our team of Porters were also amazing. Not only were they some of the fittest and strongest on the track but also friendly and happy to have a chat. Poor weather at the end of our trip could have spelt disaster for some of us with connecting flights. However once again Birodh, Suraj and the Outfitter team stepped up and got us back to Kathmandu via helicopter again. I noted that there were other trekking groups that obviously did not have the same connections as Outfitter and they were left with no option but to wait out the weather and change plans. If and when I go trekking again in Nepal I would defiantly go with Outfitter. They are professional, well connected, knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks for a great trip.

Completing the trek to Everest Base Camp has been on my must do list for a long time, and I am so grateful that I chose Outfitter Nepal as the company to go on the adventure with! All my Pre trip queries were promptly answered via email in a friendly and professional manner. From the time we were greeted at the airport by our guide to the drop off at the end of the trip the whole Outfitter Team did a fantastic job looking after us, making sure all our needs were met and we had the best time possible. Our guides for the trek ( Birodh and Suraj) were amazing! Very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and lots of fun. They did a super job of managing the group and ensuring that everyone had the support they needed to successfully make it to Base Camp. It was not an easy job as our large group of 16 was varied in hiking experience and and capabilities, but they managed it very well. The trek itself certainly didn't disappoint, with the most breathtaking scenery in the world greeting us every day. We had fantastic clear sunny weather with the exception of our fly in and out of Lukla days. Unfortunately this resulted in flight cancellations and delays which of course were out of the companies control. Luckily they were able to arrange helicopter flights instead ( at a reasonable extra cost) so we were still able to complete our journey as planned. The helicopter flights themselves became another exciting highlight of the trip! I have no reservations in recommending Outfitter, and will certainly use them again if I return to Nepal ( hopefully to take my kids trekking one day)!

I recommend Outfitter Nepal. Our initial contact was Arjun, who promptly answered all of our email inquiries and helped organized our international flights. When in Kathmandu, we were greeted by Raj who explained the details of the tour and introduced to our guides. He also asked for candid feedback at the end of the tour. Highly appreciated to help improve the service. While on the trek, we (ALL 16 of us) were guided by Birodh and Suraj, plus our fantastically strong porters. The two Guides were very patient, attentive and firmly encouraging to ensure we made it to the Tea Houses in ample time. Only issue with such a big group is that there are always time delays, esp waiting for meals to be cooked, and on trek where we waited for others to catch up. Smaller numbers would work better. We couldn't fly into or out of Lukla, due to weather. The Outfitter Group gave us options to charter helicopters (at cost) if we chose to. They took care of details and tried their best to ensure we started & finished our trek on time. The trip was challenging, however worth it.

My experience with Outfitter Nepal was fantastic, I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Arjun was a fantastic person to contact, always prompt with his emails and very knowledgeable/helpful. The one day tour was very informative and a perfect way to see the main sights in the city. For the Everest base camp trek, Hom was our guide and he was so great! Very seasoned, helpful, motivating. He got us through the trek no problem and was very supportive of our different fitness levels. Our porters were Ranvill and Gupal (not sure about the appropriate spelling...) and they were fantastic! Very eager, helpful and friendly. I was so happy to have them helping us with our bags. The pace of the trip was manageable and we were able to go to both the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, which was such a bonus. You won't regret booking a tour with Outfitter Nepal, it will be a great experience!

Thanks to Outfitter Nepal; Raj our guide ( the Rockstar) and our porters - Deepak, Soraj & Gopal (the Band). Without them we wouldn't have made it to Base Camp & back again. Their attitude, friendliness & attentiveness certainly made out trip a memorable one and we cannot fault them in any way. They were always there for us whether it was along the trek with their willingness to explain something about their culture, the terrain or the mountain peaks. The food was better that we expected. The tea houses were basic and most didn't have showers. For the two of us, on the trek we spent an average of 2500 NP a day (food, water, toilet tissue, showers (when available) phone/camera charging, WIFI. We found the trip harder that we expected & would certainly recommend training before you go...not on the way! Definitely take Hand Sanitizer & use religiously. Following our trek we meet with a friend who also completed Everest base camp trek but with another company. We compared notes & Outfitter Nepal provided better value for money i.e. didn't charge extra for sleeping bags, down jacket, walking sticks. Outfitter Nepal also were very generous in providing dinner for our group that including meals & drinks, in Kathmandu at the end of the trip. We highly recommend Outfitter Nepal & would certainly use them when we return to do the Annapurna Circuit.

Where do I start? Outfitter Nepal were outstanding from beginning to end! We arrived in Kathmandu a day early and they picked us up and then organised an extra day trip around the city (not necessary because you do see most of it in the day tour before the trek, but if you have time and like sightseeing still worth it for the day to see the other sights in the city). We had 6 people in our group which was fantastic because it was a very personal tour. Raj our tour guide was excellent. He had such wonderful knowledge and his English was great. Our porters were excellent too. Don't be fooled though, this is a tough trip (or was for us!) We are relatively fit people but living in Australia we were limited with mountains to hike before the trek. The conditions are basic but that is to be expected when you are walking towards the highest mountain in the world. Food was great, much better than I expected! Take ear plugs for the tea houses, they are incredibly noisy. Outfitter supplied our down jackets and sleeping bags. We took a liner which I would recommend, extra warmth is needed towards Everest base camp trek. Unfortunately my husband and I became sick. He was air lifted off the mountain two days before base camp and spent 3 days in hospital and then flew home early. I made it to base camp and was one day from returning when I too became sick and needed to be air lifted off as well. Neither illness was due to altitude but most likely the germs! My point is...have excellent travel insurance! They won't fly you off the mountain if you don't and it's a long way down on the back of a yak or horse! Raj (our guide) organized all this and always made sure we were okay. Raj from the head office went in to visit my husband twice a day while he was in hospital to make sure he was okay and organized the insurance. It made a very stressful and upsetting situation all that much easier. I think this is what sets Outfitter Nepal ahead of the rest. They are local and have the ability to organize things quickly. They are all kind and welcoming and made a very difficult trip still memorable. This is a once in a lifetime trek which is both challenging and rewarding. We highly recommend Outfitter Nepal!

If you are thinking about doing this trip...stop + Just book it! I just returned and can't recommend it enough. You can do this alone (as i did) and join another person/group or go with friends. Either way, you won't regret it. Some days are challenging but very achievable at any fitness level, and you feel great at the end of each day and pumped for the next. Raj and the team at Outfitter were all class right from the start and after seeing the interaction from other guides with their groups (the non outfitters) I knew we had as great guy in Amrit. Always warm and welcoming and pretty funny too. good for game of cards (get him to show you doomball) and helped me learn some of the local language. Everyone you will meet is like minded so its easy to make friends or if you like..just wander through the mountains at your own pace.

I booked with Outfitter Nepal because they had a great deal with a group buying site. Because it was so cheap, I didn't really expect much but I was very pleasantly surprised the whole way through. The trip I booked was to Everest Base Camp Trek and included a few nights in Kathmandu too. I extended my trip for a few extra days/nights and also to Bhutan. Outfitter were great in responding to my emails promptly and answering all my questions. When I arrived there was someone there to pick me up - anytime I had to get to/from the airport Outfitter ensured there was someone there to take me or pick me up which was great not having to navigate with taxis and being ripped off. The guides they organized for the trek and city tour were very courteous and did everything they could to make sure that I was enjoying myself. Unfortunately I got sick on my trek but Outfitter were faultless in their handling of it. They contacted my insurance to make sure I would be covered, sent someone to visit me when I got to emergency and the director came to visit me in hospital the next day. As a solo traveler who didn't know anybody else in Nepal I was very pleasantly surprised. I understand they also make it standard practice to have a departure dinner with everyone too to make sure that everything was okay and for feedback on how they can improve. Honestly, I'd be struggling to find where they can improve. My only (very small) issue is the hotel they used could do with some improvements however this is totally out of the control of the tour company and something that I've left with the hotel. Outfitter were great. I would recommend them to anyone and would travel with them again!

I found Outfitter Nepal on the Web by chance whilst searching for a Nepalese based Company to explore Nepal and Mount Everest base camp. The Company is a small, efficiently run organization with three Director's who get personally involved in your tour. The Director's Namaraj, Rajkumar and Arjun assisted us throughout our tour displaying an attitude of concern and complete customer satisfaction with little regard for material gain. I say this for the following reason. My wife became seriously ill with altitude sickness during our Everest base camp trek. Her condition required an emergency helicopter trip to a lower altitude level to stabilize her. Failure to do so could be fatal. Due to a technical issue with our Insurance Company , I required $8000 to pay the Helicopter Company. The Managing Director of Outfitter Nepal volunteered to cover half the cost whilst under no obligation to do so. We were also offered a farewell dinner with access to unlimited drinks and a choice of meals at no cost. Our Guide during the Trek, Hom, was incredible in his knowledge, humility and caring. We visited various places with Outfitter Nepal, including Lumbini and Nagarkot, and Pokhara. Despite us opting for the budget options, we received VIP treatment. The Company really knows how to add a local flavor to your tour. I can say with extreme satisfaction that I experienced the best of Nepal on a shoe string budget. During my wife's illness, the Company upgraded our accommodation to 5 Star, although a fair percentage of this was reimbursed to them by our Insurance. Rajkumar personally oversaw my wife's recovery in Hospital over a weekend.

Did a Everest base camp trek with Outfitter to base camp in March. Had a great experience overall. And what impressed me to was that I booked on a group trek but even though the other people who were suppose to depart on the same day as me changed their trip and leaving only myself for the trip, Outfitter still proceeded instead of cancelling or postponing the trip. I can't say that for many other agencies around. Outfitter was also very helpful on my final day of the trek. All flights from Lukla to Kathmandu were cancelled due to bad weather. They were able to make alternative arrangements and even helped to negotiate a good deal for me. A+. Strongly recommended.

I used Outfitter Nepal for a trek to Everest Base Camp in April and it was one of the best decisions. The customer service was excellent. I got altitude sickness 7 days into my trek and had to come down and they handled everything seamlessly. In what could have been a scary situation, they made it very easy and simple. Once I came down they stayed with me at the hospital and then organized the remainder my trip to another city. They took care of all transportation and accommodations when they didn't have to. Again, excellent customer service and they definitely deserve a five star rating. All that aside, the Outfitter team are just really great people. If you get a chance, ask for Raj as your trekking guide. He is awesome.

What a great holiday! The scenery was stunning from Katmandu to Lukla to Everest Base camp trek. The Outfitter Nepal team surpassed all my expectations and I mark this as the trip of a lifetime. Their professional and personal attentiveness was remarkable, thanks to Arjun, Namaraj and the rest of the team at Outfitter Nepal. I had the best guide and porter and February in my opinion was the best time of the year to be there. We were a small group of people and had nice lodges we stayed in and quiet trails. Brilliant!!

We would highly recommend this very friendly local company employing local guides and porters. They have excellent knowledge of the Everest base camp trek and requirements, from individual treks to large groups. They arranged everything for us without a hitch and made last minute changes at our request with ease. Our guide Bishnu was excellent and very experienced. We felt very comfortable under his guidance. Would highly recommend booking this local company.

2 thumbs up for their administration & service provided + experienced mountain guide. The bosses are nice people who will see to the needs of their customers. It is a must go with Outfitter Nepal, if you have not visited and seen one of the tallest mountain in the world (Everest) standing at 8848m. I strongly recommend mountain-gears to embark on the journey with Outfitter for a one in a lifetime experience.
Normally I do not write reviews but cannot resist for Outfitter Nepal. Top marks to such an excellent company for their organization and handling of logistics. Raj from the office was awesome at making sure I got the most out of my trip there and helped with last minute changes. Even though I didn't make it up to base camp (got sick) I will certainly be back and plan to use Outfitter Nepal again for EBC and perhaps Island Peak. And a big thanks to my guide Dhana and Raj who both were amazing during the trek. You guys really were great. Bottom line is if you want a company who will look after you and provide 100% quality then look no further than Outfitter Nepal. Thanks again to you all!!!

Met Namaraj (NG) Day after I arrived to Katmandu. Was planning to do the trek completely solo without a guide, but after I made the calculations on the price, the difference was minimal. Also I didn't have to buy sleeping bag/down jacket since they were provided. Met guide at Lukla airport. I cannot say a bad word about the guide. He was very enthusiastic, honest and hardworking. I fell sick in the 2 last days and he offered to carry my back bag in addition of his own! All the things worked out without any hassle. Can highly recommend this company!

Thanks for Outfitter gave us a wonderful and safe EBC trip. Of course, I wanna thanks Raj- our guide. He can speak good English. The most important thing is he cares about every member. He really took good care of us! We had a good time and unforgettable memory. I hope we can go back to Nepal to ABC or Langtang trekking soon .

I have experienced Outfitter Nepal as a very serious and reliable company, which you can safely choose as a tour operator in Kathmandu. I agreed the trip to EBC via mails (from Denmark) and Arjun was quick to answer back. All agreements were met and the company was helpful during the stay in Kathmandu. The draw for EBC (April 2011) was well planned and everything on the trip worked. The sanitary conditions on the trip are very primitive and you can take advantage of toilet paper from home. And it is imperative that you bring a good torch - like one that can also act as a lamp (spread the light). Outfitter Nepal is highly recommended.

My friends and I visited Nepal last October. we planned on trekking to EBC. This is our first time trekking, and of course the first time trekking on plateau. We chose Outfitter to help us arrange our trip. That was really an unexpected and never forgettable experience. We had 5 people from 3 countries. All of us were picked up on time, even one arrived really late at night. On the trekking, the guide and porters were really professional, they all took good care of us. When one of us had an altitude reaction, they arranged an experienced porter accompanied him climbed down, and made sure that he also had good time go around other places, and enjoy the trip. When we went across the glacier, it was a little bit windy and the surface was so smooth, the guide was really good at finding the right way, they helped us go across it safely. He told us much knowledge about the mountains, the local people and the trekking experiences. He sang beautiful local songs for us all the way, chose the good guest houses with hot shower and better facilities. We danced with the local people, and had delicious local food, not to mention the beautiful scenery. Even one day as we required to go further to the next village that cause 2 hours trekking after sunset, they still took good care of us, made sure we were safe. The last two days we went sightseeing in Kathmandu, they also arranged very good guides and drivers. It was really an unforgettable trip. The managers of Outfitter , are the people who really care about whether you enjoyed your trip, your needs and what is good for you. I surely recommend this company to any visitor of Nepal. And next time to Nepal, I’ll also choose them.
I totally recommend Outfitters for your next trekking adventure. My group decided to do Everest Base camp trek and all accommodations were excellent. Our guides were so knowledgeable and friendly...that after the trip we've made new life time friends. Raj is the contact we went through...try them for your next trip...you'll be glad you did!

I had a wonderful trip with Outfitter Nepal trekking up to Everest base camp. The guide Ram was knowledgeable and patient and made the whole trip a very positive experience. I would highly recommend them for services. Arjun was very prompt and patient answering a lot of questions. I would use them again for other treks I have in my bucket list.

I would highly recommend this tour company to anyone who wants to climb to Everest base camp. We were 4 uni students, Ram was our guide and he was so friendly and happy the whole trip. We learnt a lot not only about the countryside but also about the Nepalese culture. Accommodation was pleasant, always plenty of warm blankets and delicious Sherpa stews or thali sets! The tour was great value and an amazing experience, and we were even taken out for dinner with the owners of outfitter when we returned which was so much fun! All I can say is do it!

Went with 2 friends to Nepal in January. Arjun was great in helping us organize our trip. Everything that was organized was professionally done from Bikrash our city guide to Dipok our porter. Raj our trekking guide made our trek up and down EBC and KP a great time, alot of fun and great memories there. We had fantastic views of the Himalayas and possibly the bluest skies in the world. Arjun was also able to adapt to our demands since we managed to squeeze in another day and organized for us to go to Pokhara with short notice - perfect way to cap of our trip paragliding over Phewa Lake. Will definitely trek the Annapurna regions with these guys again.
