Thrilling flight to Lukla

Lukla flight is no doubt will be the most stimulating flight of your life due to all circumstances that involve during the flight, i.e. from breath-taking aerial views of the Himalayas to small runway of Lukla airstrip. It is a short 35 minutes flight over lush green hills, dense forests, and scattered settlements.

The adventurous trail through Sagarmatha National Park

From Monjo onwards, the trail passes through the Sagarmatha National Park. This national park is one of the UNESCO World Natural Sites and home to hundreds of flora and fauna. The trial involves many ascends and descends crossing several streams and dense forests along with steep sections.

Explore Namche Bazar

Namche Bazar, a very famous and developed village in the Khumbu region. It is a tourist hub in the Khumbu region that serves as the biggest Sherpa residence offering luxury facilities as well. Usually, trekkers stay here for a couple of days for acclimatization. Nearby this place is famous short hike spots like Everest View Hotel, Syangboche Airstrip, and Khumjung Village. Visit ancient Tengboche monastery

Built-in 1961 by Lama Gulu, the Tengboche monastery is the oldest and the biggest monastery in the Khumbu region. After being destroyed by an earthquake in 1934 and fire in 1989, the monastery was rebuilt twice and now stands proudly. Inside the monastery, you see ancient statutes, manuscripts, paintings, and antiques.

Reach Ama Dablam Base Camp

Reaching Ama Dablam Base Camp is the main highlight of this trek. Situated at 4,570 meters from the sea level, Ama Dablam Base Camp is the foot of Mt. Ama Dablam. From the base camp, you get to see the surreal view of Ama Dablam itself along with numerous other surrounding mountains.

Upon landing here, you meet the trekking crew and begin walking towards Namche Bazar. The trail passes through Sagarmatha National Park crossing numerous streams, small villages, and lush forests. Namche Bazar onwards the trail moves through Tengboche and Pangboche and takes you to Ama Dablam Base Camp.

You go on a guided sightseeing tour of cultural heritage sites today. During the tour, you visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. You get to see a great blend of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Tibetan Buddhism while on the tour.

Today, you fly to Lukla, the starting point of the trek. The flight is for 35 minutes long. During the flight, you get to see wonderful aerial views of mountains and villages. Upon landing at the Lukla airport, you begin trekking towards Phakding village. The trail follows the mountainside along the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River.

The trek continues following the Dudh Koshi River and crosses it many times. Trekking through several forests and small villages, you reach Jorsale. Here, you take a short break for lunch. After that, you ascend on a steep forested path that leads to Namche Bazar that welcomes you with stunning views of snow-capped Himalayas.

Today, you take a break for acclimatization and explore the Namche Bazar and its nearby areas. You go on a short hike to Everest View Hotel from where you get to witness fantastic views of many snow-capped mountains like Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, etc.

You also have the option to continue Khumjung village, a beautiful mountain village. Later, in the day, you stroll on the narrow and uneven streets of Namche Bazar. Visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo Gallery.

From Namche Bazar, the trail heads to the Tengboche village. The trail moves along a ridge on a flat level mountain path enjoying excellent panoramas of Kantega, Thamserku, and Kusum Kangaru. Further, the trail descends to Phunki Tenga and ascends through the lush forest of rhododendron to reach Tengboche village. This village houses the oldest and the biggest monastery of the Khumbu region, the Tengboche monastery.

After having breakfast, you start trekking towards Pangboche village. The trail is short and offers you time to rest. From Tengboche, you drop down to Debuche and cross a suspension bridge over Imja Khola. Further, the trail ascends and takes you to Pangboche village. Here, you can visit the ancient Pangboche monastery that houses the head of the so-called Yeti.

Today, you wake up early in the morning and ascend towards Ama Dablam Base Camp. The trail offers stunning views of the Himalayan Mountains. As you reach the base camp, you get to see panoramic views of mountains and hanging glaciers. After spending some time at the base camp, you descend to Pangboche to spend the night.

Following the same trail, you move back to Namche Bazar. The trail offers beautiful scenes of many snow-covered peaks. From Pangboche, you ascend through lush forests of rhododendron and small villages to reach Namche Bazar.

After having a warm breakfast, you begin trekking. The trail descends through lush forests, crossing numerous suspension bridges and small fine settlement areas. You reach Phakding and ascend along Dudh Koshi River to reach Lukla.

You wake up early and have your last Himalayan breakfast. After that, you take a short flight that takes you to Kathmandu. Upon landing at the airport, you move to the hotel. The rest of the day is free.

Today is your last day in Kathmandu. You will be transferred to the international airport for your final departure to your home or next destination.
