Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport and Transfer to Hotel

After you've landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport and are done with all your airport formalities, you will be greeted by an Outfitter Nepal representative at the end of the terminal. The staff will greet you and your loved one with a big smile on his face and transfer you to a 5-star hotel in Kathmandu. The hotel will most likely be Dwarika hotel or any hotel of your choosing. The rest of the day is for you to enjoy with your significant other!

After breakfast, we will go on a guided sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. We can explore some of the UNESCO enlisted World Heritage sites, such as Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath stupa. If you want to explore other places, we can also roam around the ancient town of Kirtipur, an hour away from Thamel. We will have our lunch only at the best restaurants and try to keep you and your partner as comfortable as possible.

Today marks the start of your luxurious honeymoon trip to Everest Base Camp. We board a helicopter flight from Tribhuvan International Airport when the weather is pretty clear. The helicopter flight to Lukla airport is probably one of the most thrilling flight experiences. The panoramic view of the Nepalese Himalayas is bound to leave you mesmerized. Also, sharing this experience with your loved one will make your journey more fruitful. After around half an hour, we will finally land at the Lukla airport. Our porters at Lukla will carry your luggage for you. Then, we start on a short trek to Phakding, which is only a few hours long. You will stay overnight at a luxurious hotel in Phakding with your significant other.

We hike through the exquisitely depicted pine forest along the Dudh Koshi River. Throughout the journey, we will rise and cross the river numerous times after crossing the Hillary Suspension Bridge. The prayer flags add even more beauty to the already stunning scenery leading to Namche Bazaar. Likewise, we see the variety of flora in the area as we enter the Sagarmatha National Park. As we approach Namche Bazaar, we can see Mount Everest (8,848m) and Mount Thamserku (6,618m) alongside other Himalayan panoramas. After around 7 hours long trek, we finally reach Namche Bazaar. At Namche, we will stay overnight at the luxurious Yeti Chain Hotel. The view of the Namche Bazaar stretching towards the Everest Himalayas is breathtaking. The rest of the day allows you to enjoy yourself with your loved one.

It is crucial to hosting as many acclimatization days as possible while you journey through varying altitudes. And Namche Bazaar is a beautiful acclimatization stop. We take a break from trekking at Namche does not necessarily mean that we do not have any activities arranged for today. So, we will do many things such as explore the colorful chorten laden town, visit the local monasteries and the famous Sherpa museum, and even go on a short hike. Hiking is the best way to acclimate your body to the increasing altitude, which is precisely what we will do. After a day full of stimulating activities, you and your partner will spend the night at the Yeti Chain Hotel and enjoy every moment!

After a quick breakfast, we will start our journey to Deboche. The vista of the enormous peaks appears breathtaking as we hike along the glacial rivers, making for a spectacular aesthetic. The majestic mountains of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, and Mt. Ama Dablam greet us with their snow-capped magnificence. After a couple of hours, we reach Tengboche. When we get to Tengboche, we can explore the neighborhood monastery. It is the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. From Tengboche, after a few hours, we arrive at Deboche by using a trail that descends through a Rhododendron forest. Today's journey lasts for around 6 hours. We have an overnight stay at a deluxe accommodation in Deboche.

On this day, we start our journey after a quick breakfast early in the morning. We trek across mountainous terrain and pass past many Sherpa communities. The hike can get pretty challenging as we wander in the higher altitude zones. Throughout the trail, we can observe the red chortens and prayer flags symbolizing the predominance of Buddhism in the region. We approach the Sherpa village of Dingboche by descending via the river and climbing significantly to reach the settlements. We can adjust to the high altitude for the remainder of the evening. The trek is about 6 hours long. We have an overnight stay at a deluxe accommodation in Dingboche.

As mentioned previously, hiking is the best approach to acclimatize ourselves to the changing altitude. So, we have some hiking options you can explore with your partner. You can hike to the summit of Nangkartshang peak, which has an elevation of 5,083 m, as part of the acclimatization day. Nangkartshang peak may be reached by foot in two to three hours, and once there, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of Mt. Tawache, Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Lhotse, Everest, and Pumori. Chhukung Ri, a highly well-liked trekking peak in the Khumbu Valley, is another option located at an elevation of 5546 meters. You can see Nuptse, the enormous mountain in the distance, from a hill only ten minutes south of Chhukung. The experience is enriching! After we're done with our activities, you will have overnight luxury accommodation in Dingboche.

Trekking is a challenging feat, and we are halfway through the journey. Starting the early morning trek, we traverse the Khumbu Glacier's moraine, passing even the Phulung Karpo, the campsite for the first Everest expedition. After this, we arrive in Thukla after an arduous climb uphill. The journey can get tricky from here onwards, and every step matters. After Thukla, we descend the Khumbu Glacier moraine with a breathtaking 360-degree vista of the neighboring mountains. We even witness a shrine dedicated to the mountaineers who lost their lives during their Everest expedition. Then, a difficult ascent will take you to Lobuche, a little town with just a few huts. It's at least a 6 hours journey. We have an overnight stay at Lobuche in a teahouse that offers an attached washroom and other amenities.

Today is probably the most arduous trek you will encounter on the journey. After a light breakfast at Lobuche, we start our hike to Everest Base Camp. We arrive at Thangma Riju after a grueling steep climb through rocky and slippery terrain. With each step, Everest becomes more spectacular and visible. As we approach Everest Base Camp, we take in the beautiful scenery of the Himalayas and marvel at nature. Take some fantastic images with you before we make our way back. We stay at the base camp for quite some time. Since there is no accommodation at the base camp, we descend towards Gorakshep. We have an overnight stay at a teahouse with an attached washroom facility in Gorakshep.

Kala Patthar is the highest altitude point you reach during the trek at more than 5600m. However, it is also an optional destination. If you feel like hiking to Kala Patthar, we will start early in the morning. What's impressive about Kala Patthar is that you can witness a clearer view of Mt. Everest. It is an entirely optional course; if you do not feel the need to do it, that's okay too! After the Kala Patthar hike, we head back to Gorakshep and Kathmandu.

Well, as you and your loved one were on the adventurous trek in the Himalayas, it's a given that you will be exhausted! So, we can do one of the two things depending on your desires. You and your loved one can enjoy a good rest at a 5-star hotel in Kathmandu for the whole day or have an extra day of exploration. Similarly, you can also shop for souvenirs at Thamel.

This is your last day in Kathmandu. We hope you had a wonderful stay with us! An Outfitter Nepal representative will transfer you and your partner to the international airport and wait until you board your destination flight!

Avoiding alcoholic beverages during the tour is best as these play a huge role in showing some symptoms of altitude sickness.
