Fun and exciting Annapurna Base camp Trek
We enjoyed very much our experience with Outfitter Nepal. They were very efficient in the all process and promptly getting back to us if we had any question. The trek was very well organized and the guide was really great, very deeply concentrated on making our trekking a fantastic experience, taking into account all the different people trekking experience and assisting everybody in their needs.
The porters too were always cheerful and enthusiastic and we had a great experience connecting with this team and getting insight on the local culture. We have seen fantastic scenery, saw beautiful animals, enjoyed a friendly and welcoming environment. Meals provided were always bountiful and we never needed to buy any extras.
We would highly recommend Outfitter Nepal and we plan to go back to Nepal for another trek and book again with them!
Wonderful Everest Base camp experience
Thanks for Outfitter Nepal gave us a wonderful and safe Everest Base camp trip. Of course, I wanna thanks Raj- our guide. He can speak good English. The most important thing is he cares about every member.
He really took good care of us! We had a good time and unforgettable memory. I hope we can go back to Nepal to ABC or Langtang circuit trekking soon .
Everest Base Camp Trek 14 days
My experience with Outfitter Nepal was fantastic, I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Arjun was a fantastic person to contact, always prompt with his emails and very knowledgeable/helpful. The one day tour was very informative and a perfect way to see the main sights in the city.
For the Everest base camp trek, Hom was our guide and he was so great! Very seasoned, helpful, motivating. He got us through the trek no problem and was very supportive of our different fitness levels. Our porters were Ranvill and Gupal (not sure about the appropriate spelling...) and they were fantastic! Very eager, helpful and friendly. I was so happy to have them helping us with our bags.
The pace of the trip was manageable and we were able to go to both the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, which was such a bonus. You won't regret booking a tour with Outfitter Nepal, it will be a great experience!
lifetime trek to Everest Base camp !
After reading other reviews , I chose Outfitter Nepal for My Everest Base camp Trek. I was impressed by their quick and informative response to my emails and was reassured that they only wanted a 20% deposit in advance and could pay the remainder on my arrival in Kathmandu rather than paying the whole amount up front to a Company I wasn't familiar with and thus a possible risk.
They were very professional and organised and everything ran smoothly and on time which allowed me to concentrate on the trek. I enjoyed the guided tour of Kathmandu historic sites(entrance fees not included) prior to the trek commencing and also the extra spare day at the end in case of flight problems from Lukla (the day after I left, all flights from Lukla were cancelled due to bad weather and some trekkers used a helicopter (at great expense) to get to Kathmandu. The hotel (Hotel Moonlight) in Kathmandu was excellent and in a very good location on the edge of Thamel.
I was the only trekker but the Company honoured their promise to run the trek and I had a guide and a porter. The guide was very helpful and organised. He sorted out my meals in the teahouses and on occasions he asked to carry my rucksack, in addition to his own, up some of the steeper sections.
I didn't ask him to do this but it was appreciated as I am 66 and did help me. He had a good knowledge of the terrain. His English was at times difficult to understand. He was aware of this and realises he has to improve this in order to communicate more effectively. This didn't detract from my enjoyment of the trek.
Outfitter Nepal provided a free loan of a down jacket (which I didn't use ), a down sleeping bag (essential after the first few days) and holdall for the porter. I made good use of the layer principle using fleeces/ merino wool etc which were warm enough.
I had some lightweight leather boots but also used waterproof , fabric trekking shoes as most of the trek was stony, occasionally boulder and often sandy (wear a buff) . Many of the porters just used trainers! I started with shorts, changing later to trekking trousers and insulated trousers.
I used a water bladder with chlorine dioxide tablets (no aftertaste) and used 2/3 litres/ day. A head torch proved very useful in the teahouses and remember to take some toilet roll with you.
I was pleased to have chosen Outfitter Nepal for this trek and I can recommend them.
Annapurna Base camp
One of the best experiences in my life and an absolute must for anyone looking for a trekking holiday. Trekking through the Himalayas to Annapurna Base Camp was beautiful, stunning and exciting.
Also hard work at times but so worth it for the achievement alone. Outfitter Nepal was outstanding from initial contact, answering emails to several enquiries and overall care throughout the trek. They are very experienced and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Our guide Suraj was amazing, such a lovely young man who takes his job very seriously to ensure everyone has an unforgettable experience. I went on this trip with my friend and we were joined by 5 others on the trek. We had four porters to carry our luggage and I cannot speak highly enough of them. Again, lovely young men, happy in their work and nothing too much trouble. They laughed and sang at times and they absolutely sweated a lot carrying our luggage up very steep hills. They too made sure we were all ok and were very responsible in their duties. SuraJ as a guide took care of the porters very well and this was so nice to see.
If you are looking for a trekking holiday then please have a look at this particular trek because the scenery is so beautiful. And have a look at Outfitter Nepal because they are excellent.
Be completely aware that this is not a 5 star hotel holiday, it is an experience of a lifetime in the outdoors and while some of the accommodation is nice and basic, other accommodation higher into the Himalayas is not so great. But it’s clean and I’ve definitely seen worse at home!
Make sure you prepare fitness wise. You do not have to be an athlete but this climb is hard most of the time. I am 55 and walk everyday with my two dogs and a couple of months prior to the holiday I started upping my pace and doing some hills. It definitely paid off. And I just got fitter as the trek went on. I absolutely loved every second, even the painful bits of some very steep steps. Had a good pair of trekking boots (Berghaus Fellmaster) and never had sore feet.
We all had a great time and being a small group we got to know each other quite well and it was great to be able to speak with everyone throughout the trek.
Will definitely being using Outfitter Nepal for any future treks in this region.
Fantastic Trek to Everest Base camp
I cannot rate Outfitter Nepal highly enough. They offer very cheap tours and hikes compared to everyone else and they range from casual to challenging. We did the three passes with the Everest Base camp but heavy snow stopped us from doing two of them.
Our guide Santosh was very flexible in making sure we still got to all the places we wanted to go and catered to our fitness levels.
We had one member who suffered from altitude sickness and Outfitter were VERY understanding.
They rearranged flights back to KTM and Sydney for them and also planned some other treks for them to do before heading back down. We also had to cancel our flight from Lukla due to weather and get a helicopter. They cancelled the tickets, refunded us and we were able to subsidise the cost of the chopper.
Communication pre-arrival were also prompt and informative, they left us with no guess work.
5 out of 5 on all levels, thanks for the trek of a lifetime.
Annapurna Base camp
Outfitter Nepal took all of the stress out of organizing an Annapurna trek and their tour prices are very reasonable and competitive.
The tour route itself allowed us to have enough time to acclimatize to the altitudes to avoid sickness and provided us with ample time to fully experience some of the mountain villages.
Our tour guide, Bhim, was very professional, well-organized and was able to answer all of our questions about Nepal and its culture and wildlife.
Bhim even coordinated our hotel booking for us when we decided to extend our stay in Pokhara by an extra night.
I can't say enough good things about Outfitter Nepal and highly recommend them.
Excellent One Day Overview of Kathmandu
I only had one free day during a busy visit to Nepal to allow me to see as much of Kathmandu as possible. I booked this tour in advance and was very satisfied.
The tour guide was excellent and was able to answer our questions proficiently. Please note that you should have some local currency with you to pay for entry to the different sites.
5 star service on Everest Base camp Trek
My trip with outfitter Nepal was perfect from start to finish. Before beginning I had dreamed of reaching Everest base camp. My journey couldn't have been better. I travelled to Nepal alone and met the group I was matched with which was 14 people, 2 exceptional guides Hom and Dhana.
Little did I know that I would gain a whole new family through the trek.
Outfitter Nepal made me and my friends feel at home from day one.
Hom and Dhana went out of their way to make it a trek of a lifetime.
I would highly recommend Outfitter Nepal to everyone. They have treks to suit all levels of fitness and adventure levels. I cannot begin to thank you all enough for this trip.
I hope to visit again soon and complete another epic trek. 5 star for all aspects of this trip.
Been to a few local tours in different countries, one thing stands out is that Outfitter Nepal is run by local owners, who has personal experiences as a guide which explains their humble sincerity to their clients, more towards ensuring the experience of their guests than focusing too much in just doing business.
Definitely a plus point!
An excellent tour of the highlights of Kathmandu
I took this tour 2 days ago to get familiar with Kathmandu. My guide, Birodh Burlakoti, was excellent.
Hi is very knowledgeable, and told us some insightful stories and and enlightening information as well as important facts. He is a caring and dedicated young man who obviously loves Nepal and helping others get to know his wonderful country.
