It is up to you that wheather you want to book the trek in advance through internet or once you arrive in Nepal with the local company as you can find many trekking agency in Kathmandu that offer Everest base camp trek and it is easy to book with any of local company however we advise you to book the trek in advance as you can travel with peace in mind once you booked and arranged the trek already you arrive in Nepal as the company book the airport transfers, hotels in Kathmandu, flight to Lukla, permits arrange the accommodation on trek plus guides and porters as well so, there will be your guide to greet you at the airport on arrival so, It is so easy travel and trekking in Nepal when you book and arranged the trek in advance.

Is there any alternative way to see Everest?

Yes, there are some other tours where you can see the Everest and many other mountains without trekking to Everest base camp as one can take regular Everest Mountain flight tour for an hours that more of the domestic airlines offer every morning and one take the Helicopter flight tour as well that goes to the Everest and even land in the Kalapattar to view the Everest and other Himalayas and these trips are suitable for those have short time or not able to trek and hike up all the way to Everest base camp.

Yes, the most of the hotels/guest house of most of the camps/villages have electricity power to charge your camera and mobile batteries and some places offers the solar system power so, there is not enough power to charge your stuff so, and we advise you to have some spare batteries on our Everest base camp Trek.

You can have water purification medicine and get the normal free tap water and use the medicine and drink water and this idea is helpful to save money however it is available to buy bottled water or boiled water in every lodge/ teahouse and the cost of the bottled water is from 100.00-250.00 NPR and you need to drink about 4-6 liters of water each day.

Do I need to bring own food on Everest base camp trek?

You do not really need to bring your own food on Everest base camp Trek as meals are available on lodge/restaurant available on trails however it is advisable  to have some energy bars/chocolates ie Snickers, Twix bars and snacks that helps to gain more energy on the trek.

Is there is hot shower available on Everest Base camp trek?

Yes, hot shower is available in most of the lodges on the EBC trails however people do not take shower every day on Everest Base camp trek as most people take shower only few times such as in Namche, Dingcuche and Lukla and the cost of shower is from 300.00 to 600.00 NPR as you go higher the price also goes higher.

What is the weight limit on Lukla flight of Everest Base camp trek?

The airplane that operate flight to Lukla are small and the total limit of weight per person is only 15 KG including the main luggage and hand carry. You can take some Kg more by paying some extra charge however it is not guaranteed for the extra more luggage as it is available only when they have spaces available.
